Modesto is located within driving distance of San Francisco and the Pacific Ocean, Lake Tahoe and the mountains for skiing and Yosemite for hiking. All the sights of Northern California are within two to four hours by car. Los Angeles, Disneyland and Universal Studios are within six hours by car.
Each year, the City of Modesto celebrates the cultures of its community with its annual International Festival. This one day event brings people together from diverse cultural backgrounds to celebrate their unique contribution to this community of 250,000 people. Entertainment, food and cultural displays are all part of the day’s activities.
