Transfer Procedures

If you are in F-1 student status transferring from a U.S. institution, you are required by INS to notify your current Foreign Student Advisor of your intention to transfer to MJC. You should have the MJC Transfer Form completed by your current school to show you have maintained full-time student status and your Release Date. This form should be mailed or faxed to the International Student Program as soon as possible so that your I-20 from MJC can be prepared for you. If you have not maintained your status, consult with your international student advisor regarding reinstatement to status. You should bring your immigration documents with you to International Student Check-in.
