Welcome the Great Valley Museum:

Combination Tour |
$700 |
Includes a private Docent led Museum Tour and Planetarium Show. Students rotate through our space and will view a planetarium show of their instructors’ choice.
Recommended for grades K-3, and 4-5. |
Docent Led Museum Tour |
$300 |
Private Docent led museum tour. A docent will lead your classes through the GVM exploring the five habitat areas found in California.
Recommended for grades K-3, and 4-5. |
Self-Guided Museum Tour |
$400 |
10 Minute staff introduction to the Museum followed by a self guided tour of the current exhibits. Teachers receive instructional materials to supplement their visit.
Recommended for grades 4-6 or groups larger than 60. The Self-guided tour can be combined with a planetarium program to create a Self-Guided Combination Tour. |
Planetarium Show |
$500 |
Our planetarium show includes a screening of the instructors choice and a brief self-Guided tour of the Rotating Gallery.
Recommended for grades 3-6, middle school and high school. |

Tour Information
Reservation Policies, Terms and Conditions
- Please plan your visit in advance and review the group tour paperwork requirements.
- All instructors must share our code of conduct with their students and assist and enforce it upon arrival.
- Failure to follow the Museum Guidelines will result in a suspension of your tour.
- All tours are subject to having outside members of the public present in the museum during the tour.
- If a docent is not available for your Docent Led program, your tour will be modified into a Self-guided tour at no extra cost.
- To cancel or revise a reservation, contact lopezj@yosemite.edu a minimum of 7 days in advance of arrival.
- Cancellations made with less than 14 days notice are subject to a $40.00 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows will be invoiced for the full price of the tour.
- Prepayments are not accepted and will be returned to your school/organization.
- All tours are a flat group price, we do not invoice individual admissions.
- The MJC Business office will invoice your school district directly at the end of the month.
- Purchase orders (POs) are accepted and must be submitted along with paperwork requirements.
- Groups must maintain a student/ chaperone ratio of 8:1
- Chaperones' not included on the original group reservation must pay separately upon arrival.
- Groups arriving more than 30 minutes late forfeit their Docent.
- Campus parking is currently free in spots not marked "STAFF"
- Buses may not park in loading zones and may park in any lot. A campus map can be found here.
- By booking a tour date, you hereby agree to these terms and conditions.
