What is Comunidad Summer Enlace Academy?

Enlace is derived from the Spanish word enlazar, which means to unite, to connect, to link. Comunidad Summer Enlace is an interactive one-week academy designed to ease the transition into college for incoming, first-year, Modesto Junior College (MJC) Latinx students.Through this weeklong academy, students will build connections with campus faculty and programs, as well as develop the knowledge and skills to succeed in and out of the classroom.

Participating students will receive a free lunch and be eligible for daily raffles and giveaways!

What Will We Do?

Not sure if you're ready for college? Prepare for your first semester with us!

Converse with and learn from MJC Latinx faculty, counselors, and staff
Learn about MJC support programs and resources for ALL students (regardless of immigration or residency background)
Hear tips and tricks on navigating college
Connect with other students through interactive workshops and activities!
