Does MJC offer health insurance for students?
No, MJC does not offer insurance to students. You can obtain more information about
insurance options through Covered California. If you are uninsured, have limited insurance, or need help finding a provider, visit
Health Services for a list of community clinics/agencies.
Where can I get tested for sexually-transmitted infections?
You can get tested through your healthcare provider, Planned Parenthood, or through your local public health department through California's Family PACT program. For more information about sexual and reproductive health, click here
Do I need to make an appointment?
Mental health therapy appointments are available by appointment only. To see a nurse,
we highly encourage you to make an appointment. Nurses may be available to accommodate
walk-ins.
What is a Tuberculosis (TB) Test?

What is the cost for immunizations, titers, and other tests?
Please refer to the current fee schedule located on our Available Services page
Can I get all my immunizations/screenings at once?
It will depend on which immunizations you need. The nurse will review this with you.
Please have documentation of any previous immunizations available, if possible.
Does MJC Health Services require identification?
Yes, if you'd like to visit a nurse or mental health provider, please provide a government
issued ID or MJC student ID card. We must also verify that you are a current MJC student
and have paid the health fee.
Is there a doctor available on campus?
No, MJC Health Services does not have a doctor on campus to see students. If you are
in need of medical care, visit our Community Clinics and Resources page or schedule an appointment with a Health Services nurse who can help connect
you with a provider in the community.
Are any services available to faculty and staff?
Yes, Health Services offers Tuberculosis (TB) screenings and over-the-counter products for faculty and staff.
Can I call in for my test results?
Laboratory test results may be given over the phone if you have provided a signed
release. Please contact our office for more information.
